The series Frau, Leben, Freiheit | زن، زندگی، آزاد is part of the “Her Hair” group of works.
The title Frau, Leben, Freiheit (Woman, Life, Freedom) is used in reference to the Persian slogan زن، زندگی، آزاد (Woman, Life, Freedom) (Zan, Zendegī, Āzādī).  This slogan became a rallying cry during the protests which occurred in Iran as a response to the death of Mahsa Amini.
The origin of the slogan can be traced to the Kurdish freedom movement of the late twentieth century. The Kurdish version: Jin, Jiyan, Azadî, ژن، ژیان، ئازادی, was first used by members of the Kurdish women’s movement.
